ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
It's true, The Alphabeticians do, indeed, Rock. On their debut album, the ABC Guys combine clever lyrics with rock hooks and grooves to create music that's fun for kids, parents and everyone in between. And of course, they have multiple alphabet songs, singing both forward and backward.

The Alphabeticians are:
Mr. E (Eric Levine): Vocals, guitars, keyboards, cricket, thighs, drum, kazoo, maraca, shaker
Mr. Hoo (Jeff Inlay): Vocals, guitars, keyboards, loops, thighs, tambourine

Special guests, the mini Alphabeticians:
Aidan and Carter: Fish, teeth, throwing up

Special Thanks: Lara & Lincoln Levine, Aidan & Carter Inlay, Carol Levine, Don & Ann Inlay, Flying Cat Coffee, Mo Phillips, Matt Clark, All our friends and fans who've come to shows, purchased Pebble and supported us in our first months.

Produced, mixed and engineered by Jeff Inlay at Kid's Recording Studio in West Linn, Oregon.

Praise for The Alphabeticians:

“These guys clearly like words. Their rhymes are unpredictable and off-the-wall. "Spicoli" and "slowly" is ambitious, and for a guy in my age cohort, the "Fast Times" reference brings me back. It's kind of like finding a ratty old Maui and Sons tee-shirt in the dresser drawer at my parents' house. I mean that in a good way. I like their playful exploration of idioms on "When I throw Up". "When I throw up my hands, it means I'm bored. When I throw up my arms, it means we scored." And the pun and semi-oblique musical reference at the end is a nice touch, which took me a couple of listens to appreciate. "When I throw up to be a man." Brian Wilson, eat your heart out.”

Fun for the whole family!
My kids won't stop listening to this CD. Normally, that would drive me crazy. But I love it too! The songs are so clever and fun, they remind me of a Pixar movie, fun for the kids, with lots of subtle jokes for the adults too. And, we're learning how to sing the alphabet backwards. We highly recommend this CD!
