Alphatonic finds itself decidedly darker and less funky than it's predacessor, PROGNOSIS. More textures and focus on tightly written songs, Alphatonic marks a bit of a departure from the happy-go-lucky bar funk rock The Heed was known for.

I knew these guys back when they were The Heed. They were rockin' funk gods then. This album definitely picks up where The Heed left off. It's got a deeper feel to it yet still retains that funky groove these guys made famous. Every track is sung from the heart, and they're incredible musicians. No matter what kind of music you're into, you owe it to yourself to check out Alphatonic.
