After being discovered by famed A&R rep. Jason Flom, (Tori Amos, Matchbox 20, etc.) Alta signed with Atlantic records and released her first CD "Shoulda Known Better" following 5 hit dance singles. But disenchanted by "major label politics", she decided to independently create the Album that no major label would dare release! Shrouded in controversy, this CD openly discusses topics that were often disguised in gender neutral pronouns.
Dychology 101 has delighted audiences worldwide. From the comical yet poignant "Hatties Bar" which chronicals the tale of a gay bar operating amid the Mormon conservatism of Salt Lake City, Utah, and the "The Coming Out Song". The popularity of this CD continues to grow. Recently, the song "One" was featured in the critically aclaimed short film "The Ten Rules...".
Currently, Alta continues to live and perform in NYC.

author: aerynGreat poppy spunk in Alta's cd that is a great listen. She touches some interesting topics in her lyrics, but I would say that the music alone is worth the money. When you put the two together you're in for a blast! You don't have to be gay to love this cd, but you better be prepared to meet the Armageddon girl.
