Album Notes

RURAL ROOTS is a collection of eight songs written by AL young and three written by others. Al's songs are gleaned from his memories of growing up on a farm/ranch on the Canadian priaries. The songs are based on true stories and real people. The other three songs follow the same vien, telling stories of rural living and rural values. All songs on the CD are easy listening country with smooth lead vocals backed by great harmonies, acoustic rhythum guitar, acoustic lead guitar, steel guitar, bass guitar and drums. Country folks or folks with country backgrounds will find this album especially appealing. Several cuts from RURAL ROOTS have been featured on the syndicated radio show "SPIRIT OF THE WEST".
