ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Alysha Brooke has been performing on stage since she was three years old. By the age of nine she had been dancing for six years and acting for three, and had begun taking singing lessons. In that same year, her family decided to move to a rural 10-acre home on the outskirts of town. This move to the country would prove to set the stage for all that was to follow.

As the second youngest in a family of seven daughters (and currently an aunt 14 times over), there was never a quiet moment in Alysha's house. But Alysha took to her new surroundings with a great curiosity. What better place for a nine-year-old girl to grow up?

Clearly this was a home that was always full of stories and inspiration. In the summer after 11th grade, Alysha chose singing over dance and began recording her first CD. Whether or not it was her new country upbringing, or her older sister's love for country music, Alysha can't be sure, but a country music singer was what she was destined to be.

Vocally, Alysha possesses a pure and rich quality, with a touch of vibrato and a soulful, bluesy feel. At the same time, her music projects an energy and personality that makes for a unique, alluring and upbeat performance. Her singles, Nuthin' but a Chevy and This Time have received airplay in the U.S., Sweden, Spain and Australia, among other countries.

When you see Alysha perform live, there is little doubt that years of dance competitions and hard work have
helped to hone her stage presence resulting in an infectious, captivating and entertaining show.

This is high energy country music with powerful vocals and just the right amount of attitude!

Solid debut CD -- Chevy song is a classic!
As a young artist's debut record, this CD is solid. The songs are high energy and upbeat, which is how I like my country music. The title track, Nuthin' but a Chevy, is the best song on the record. My second favorite track is This Time. But really, they're all pretty good. Alysha Brooke has a lot of power in her voice and the album kicks some butt! If you like energetic country, you'll likely like this CD.

I attended the CD Release Party for "I Talk Country"
I recently attended ( in fact last Saturday, April 1st, 2006) the CD Release Party in Milton, Ontario, for the new full length CD I Talk Country, and I bought a copy of the CD as well. This is one great CD, and if you truly love country music as I do, and you enjoyed her first CD, dont miss this one! A combination of great country ballads, rock, and toe tapping music. It is fantastic! a great voice and again, a combination of great musicians. Her backup band are wonderful, the fiddle player outstanding, and when I listened to the very end of the CD, I could not help but laugh!. If you have the first CD, dont miss the new one. I am a fan of this lady!

I just finally got this CD from a friend as a gift...it is great! real country music, with a real great back up team of musicians, and what a voice this girl has, just all around great! I hear the new CD (full length) is on it's way, I can't wait to get that one too!! Hope CD Baby has it.

WOW WOW WOW WOW
This is a fantastic CD of country songs by Alysha. Track 2, It Hurts is fantastic and sung beautifully. I live in the UK amd I think this young lady will go very far and in a few years will be at the very top of her profession. Well done and please keep it country.

Tough rockin' country from a young talented lady
Here's a young girl who should have a long future in country music. She's got a very good voice and she deliver the songs in a way that you believe everything she's telling you. She reminds me a little bit about Terri Clark and that's not a bad thing at all. Nuthin' But A Chevy and Leavin' Today are favorite tracks. The cd is too short, only 6 tracks. So Alysha, please record some more songs!!!

Wow!!!! First the looks....then the voice
I love Country Music, especially when sung by sultry voices like this. She is not only a knock out to look at, she has the voice of an angel coming over my car stereo. I think I will wear this CD out, playing it over and over. I wish it was longer, and I hope there is another one coming soon. I also wish she were American, and touring down here! Keep up the great work, Alysha!
