Amali Ward is a Sydney based soul/pop singer who first came to the public’s attention at the tender age of sixteen.

Since making the top 10 of idol she has spent the past few years honing her songwriting skills working with established talents such as Rhyno (True Live), Pip Norman (TZU), Mark Pearl (The Commas) Tyrone Noonan (george), N’Fa (1200 Techniques), Michael Stangel (Shannon Noll, Borne), Caroline Kennedy (Deadstar) and Karl Broadie.

Amali has just completed a self produced debut EP featuring 5 original songs mixed by ARIA award winning engineer Anton Hagop (silverchair, Powderfinger, Missy Higgins). Sitting comfortably alongside acts such as James Morrison, John Mayer, Amy Winehouse and Joss Stone the EP is a mix of classic soul and contemporary grooves. Amali and her 7-piece band debuted to a packed house at Sydney’s Annandale Hotel in late September supporting Melbourne funk/hip hop outfit True Live.

Amali, who is currently the Australian face of Rexona Girl, has also spent time on TV a presenter on Channel V and SBS favourite Nerds FC. She has just finished filming her debut movie role.
