Album Notes

3 ladies met in Okinawa. One is Indian instruments player. One is playing bass new wave band 16years.

one is travelling Africa, play karimba & jembe. We play together, new music is born. It can not categorize. Real border-free music. Mother earth music.

AMANA is an ancient Japanese word. Means woman's life energy. Like a shaky energy.

We have Indian, African, Okinawan feelings. Not mix, melt the musical essence.

AMANA is more fun than new age music, more meditational than world music. We don't use electronix. Vibration is so natural, but trancy. We take you to Shangri-La.

I love this CD for being unique (doesn't sound like anyone else's), for being uplifting (a natural means of attaining cosmic at-one-ment), for including an unusual combination of diverse musics from around the world, and for the voices and vocal arrangements of the three talented women musicians. I love the cover, too.
