Carya Amara is a long-running, low-profile electronic music project, based in England.
'Extinction Frequency' is a retrospective of rhythmic tracks (1992 - 1996) that live in a strange world parallel to those of the genres they might at first resemble...
"Raw-edged and positively eviscerating at times, downright hilarious at others, it maintains a ruthless and driving energy - as well as a sparkling clarity of sound... very special indeed" - Stone Gnome
"It has an easy, pop-culture humour with a tendency to taking a left-turn into the darker reaches." - Violet Apple
"this album shows that whilst Carya Amara can produce some cutting edge industrial ambience, they can also produce... rhythmic pieces that wouldn't be too difficult on new ears... Superb" - Modern-Dance
"Gorgeous photographs of Beachy Head, the Sussex beauty spot notorious for attracting suicides, grace the cover... What we have here is a collection of 'academic' techno tracks from the early to mid 1990s... Often ingenious and innovative, these still sound fresh nearly a decade on" - Flux Europa
Also available from CD Baby: Carya Amara - 'Vestigial Digital'.

Best accompanied with a packet of apple & custard biscuits.

Used initially to frighten small children, my appreciation of this collection of Carya's more accessible audio imagery has grown to the point where I cannot sleep without first enveloping myself in the comfort of 'The Shadow Over Eastbourne'.

Electronic Landscape
author: Emile Blinos
It's a great CD where you find electronic landscapes and complex strutures. With time you discover all qualities and become addicted to these originals and mysterious structures.
Certainly a must to have.

...cool stuff, with "Acid Control" and the most famous "Klang" being my absolute favourites.
Sophisticated, yet funny!
