Album Notes

Accelerating Parcae is the first full-length album by Amber Spyglass. Branded as "The New Sensualists", co-founders Kelly Godshall (vocals, keyboard) and John DeGregorio (guitars, samples, programming) evoke sentiments from a variety of minor-key rock sub-genres from complex organic rhythms and middle-eastern motifs to dark pop sensibility. Seductive female vocals blend with aching guitars and lush hypnotic tones that weave a tapestry of sensual energy. "It is important for our music to be mentally visual and stimulating. One of the best compliments we get is when people say they just shut their eyes and get lost in it," says Kelly.

In 2001, the band released their self-titled 5-song EP - Described as ethereal edge combining alluring vocals, strong bass lines, some jazzy percussion, jangly guitars, and twinkling pianos; with only a limited release, the band gained critical acclaim.

Accelerating Parcae is a dynamic release of surreal exotica that combines tribal style drumming, textures of acoustic and electric guitars, slick bass lines and strong alluring vocals. With Kashmir-like hypnotizing dance grooves of Catalyst Groove to flamenco influences on Pearls of Blue to the succinct ethereal pop of Hand in Position, this album appeals to music enthusiasts of many genres.

This album is the soundtrack to sip your glass of 1997 Castello D'Albola Chianti...smooth, sexy and energetic.
