Por Avión is a live CD recorded predominantly at Mississippi Studios music venue in Portland, Oregon, during two recent performances (December 2004 and February 2005).
Spanish for "by airplane," Por Avión complements the band's two studio albums of original material and features some of Amelia's most popular cover songs, several of which are sung in Spanish.
"Flor de Mal" by the Cruzados (an 80s L.A. band), and "Mar Y Luna," by Miguel Moly (Venezuelan meringue artist) are crowd favorites that are finally available on a recording. Por Avión also offers a live rendition of one of Amelia's most popular original songs, "Marigolds," from the band's 2004 performance in West Virginia on National Public Radio's Mountain Stage.

Por Avión was made possible in large part because of the efforts of Jim Brunberg, owner of Mississippi Studios. Jim and his crew hurredly set up mics and made this impromptu recording a reality.
