Album Notes

"POWER POP PUNK FROM THE EAST BAY!"

American Avenue was born in the summer of 2001 in Fremont, California. This young, "to die for" looking group of mutual friends came together when two different local bands splintered. Ryan, the lead singer of the group, carries himself on stage with a "he's got IT" presence and the band collectively creates enough energy to power New York City through a blackout.
The band's "crossover" appeal can truly be felt in their songwriting and new 5 song EP recorded in the Fall of 2003 with Wake Productions and set for release in summer 2004.
The group spends the majority of their time playing anywhere and everywhere to get their name etched into the minds of the West Coast music scene including stints all over the Bay Area and Southern California spots like Whisky-A-Go-Go and the Troubadour.
Past recordings included a 5 song demo produced by local recording icon Andy Erndst of GREEN DAY and AFI fame which initially gave the group a local following and led San Francisco independent label Rock D.I.Y. to offer them a four record worldwide deal.
