Album Notes

With song titles like "Drinkin' About You," "Too Damn Sober," "Just An Alcoholic" and "Drank Too Much," Columbus, Ohio's American Dog has truly created their own niche. If the cd title doesn't spell it out, the song titles tell you that they don't care about political correctness or jading the youth of today. According to American Dog 'rehab is for queers,' and in their eyes there just isn't enough down n' dirty rock n' roll. The follow-up to 2000's Last Of A Dying Breed, Six Pack is an energetic live recording that displays Dog's southern hard rock vibe, a sound that is rare in these times. If you want a bit of sleazy fun and something to get loaded to, this is a great party album. This is sweaty and smelly rock n' roll, and the picture inside the booklet depicting a group of people (including several kids) flipping everyone off is something to behold as well. (Chris Dugan)

Live Dog is the best kind

Great recording of early American Dog live in concert. They've come along way since this disc (not ALL their songs are about drinkin' and fuckin') but go to a show and you've got a pretty good chance of hearing almost all these tracks played live today. Standout track: 'Drank Too Much' One Angry Swede, Owner of the FatCat Radio Network (www.fatcatradio.com) Oct 2007

It's hard to believe that this is a three piece. Their sound is so massive and in your face. If you wonder what these guys sound like "Six Pack" would be a great start!
