The first offering from Calgary's Agnostic Mountian Gospel Choir set out their modus operandi of stomping out the best elements of delta blues and old time mountain music with the fierceness of rock'n'roll.
Recorded mostly live in the studio, or house as is happened to be, it bangs and clangs like a band with reverence for the guts and glory of the old music.

author: Jerome Barthelemy
Cranky delta blues that Tom Waits would be proud of. I love that the magic of the delta has creeped up to the great white north. Would love to hear something more recent from the band.

The fact it was recorded live in the studio gives this album a real edge. Impressive playing from start to finish with great vocals. I havent seen them live, but would love to after hearing this.
