ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A M Herculis is a trio of two musicians and a songwriter from the robust Midwestern indie-music town of Duluth, MN. The songs are a cache of rock material Chad Salmela had been sitting on over several years due to a lack of bandmates, but in 2008, veteran musician and music promoter, Tim Nelson, encouraged Salmela to plug in and rock out with Nelson taking up the drums for the first time since high school band class. Josh Tesch saw Salmela and Nelson as a two piece and expressed interest in filling out the sound on bass. Former Smashing Pumpkins sound technician, Tom Fabjance, caught the band live at the 2008 Homegrown Music Festival in Duluth and encouraged the group to record with him at Sacred Heart Music Studio. The band’s self-titled first album was recorded in November 2008 with Fabjance, and released by the band in May 2009.
