Album Notes

Alex Marenga aka AMPTEK ,composer, guitarist, video director, dj and electronic musician.
He founded his experimental project AMPTEK, the electro-funk crossover band "Entropia", the techno-electro project Auto.Vox, the ambient project "Ziqqurat Vertigo", the experimental band "Frammenti di Caos", and the avantgarde open-band "Exit Strategy".

In the last years his experimentation taked several directions, like guitarist in electronic manipulation of guitar timbres, like electronic musician in the possibilities of spatialization of the sounds through the use of quadriphonic or surrounds systems.
Amptek are composer of music for motion pictures, television show, cd-rom, dvd and web sites.

In this album there is music composed for italian edition of cult mute movie "Haxan: Witchcraft through the Ages" (1922) by Benjamin Christensen. This tracks are extracts from the original seven movements of the "Music for Haxan" for 5+1 speakers system in a stereo adaptation composed in summer 2008.

This music use several composition techniques, from atonal to concrete, from modal to tonal, from noise to percussive, but these sounds are conceived to come from distinct space ways.
