All songs written and recorded by AmyBeth Parravano; self-published with Parravano Music,ASCAP and released on her PERIDOT RECORDS label.Original release was on St.George Record label( had a hit song called 'Myrtha' record label Albany,NY). In 1973 on 33 vinyl at the height of the Flower Power generation! The HEAVEN album was reviewed by Columbia Records and offered a release by the now (subsidiary)defunct label Sunshine Records...but was even too provocative in it's content for the times!
Performering at that time for AmyBeth as a young emerging artist were solo gigs in Cambridge coffee houses where she also did cover songs by Laura Nyro,Mimi Farina,Janis Joplin,Melanie Safka,Janis Ian....
AmyBeth had a brief stint at Bethel,NY prior to Woodstock in 1969 and appeared in songwriter's hoots and gatherings.
Her songwriting style was inspired by John Lennon's 'Instant Karma'
Some songs on the album she had intended to pitch to Helen Reddy and Barbara Streisand( MIRROR,WHY DO WE TRY,...)
In 1975, Elvis Presley received a copy of her vinyl 33 HEAVEN album for his collection and rumor has it that he had considered to having wanted to record some of her songs even prior to the release of 'Suspicious Minds'!
Special thanks to Elle Schuster for capturing the photographic image to correlate with the HEAVEN album concept.
