so glad i ordered this cd. never heard of amy before your site, thanks. amy has the voice i've been searching for, calm, cool, seductive, and full of emotion. her voice ,with a nylon guitar holding rhythm, is all you need to set your mind at ease and erase another long day.

A pleasant surprise

Got a very pleasant surprise the other day, ordered a CD from CD Baby and received Amy Fox's Public Offering as the free bonus. From the opening notes, it was clear that this was an amazing record. Amy Fox has a style all her own. Public Offering gets inside your head from the first spin and then settles in for a lengthy stay. Forget the fact that Ms. Fox has a terrific voice and writes great songs, the true test of an artist is the smell test: does he or she really mean what they sing, or is it just a concoction designed to please the critics or, worse, to sell? Clearly, Ms. Fox has poured her heart and soul into these 12 songs, and her emotions carry through to the listener. Virginia Once and I Do Love are particular personal favorites. Is this a perfect album? Of course not. But independent music, hell, music itself shouldn't be about cold perfection, it's about emotion, ideas, communication and songs that carry you away to somewhere you haven't been before. By that standard, Public Offering succeeds brilliantly. This is a great effort. Kudos to CD Baby for doing what they do and to Ms. Fox for making great music.
