Album Notes

Amy has been singing and writing all of her life, but growing up in farm country with neighbors miles away made it hard to get formal training. Sometimes things happen for a reason though, and after moving to Las Vegas she auditioned and became a member of the Grammy Award Winning Choir, The Saints Unified Voices. Through her membership in the choir she became good friends with John Fluker, the acclaimed and highly talented vocal coach, arranger, and composer. Amy loved the hymns beloved by Christians everywhere, but had very original and distinct ideas about giving new life to some of these old hymns. She shared some of her arrangements with John Fluker. He embraced the concept, and together they created the album. All the songs on this album were hand-picked by Amy, and brought to life with new rhythms, words, and sometimes even new melodies. There is something in this collection for everyone, whether you like the throw-back sound of the 30's, modern R&B, or even country music. These are the hymns like you've never heard them before.
