We all know the feeling we get when we see a fearless female rocker singing with every once of emotion she’s ever known. It brings us back to intense moments in our own lives. Amy M, a petite, blonde chick rocker from Minneapolis, can’t wait to see that feeling radiate from each person in the crowd every time she performs.
The Amy M Band was formed in late 2006 with Danhazer (guitar) and Johnson (Bass).
They’ve performed together for quite a while before stumbling across the idea of a chick rock band. The first year Amy was always surprised when bar owners, staff and crowds loved the band. “I just wasn’t used to it” Amy says. She grew up singing in her dad’s church where people closed their eyes to listen. Maybe her eyes were closed too. Amy M’s song “Spin Out” describes how sheltered, afraid and shy she was until she realized how interesting people can be.
The Amy M Band performs every weekend, creating a good time with their catchy original tunes mixed with crowd-loving covers from classic to current rock.
