Amy Michelle is a songwriter and published children's book illustrator and author, who just completed her debut children's CD titled, "Get UP and Sing!" Produced and arranged by talented jazz composer Mike Kennedy, "Get UP and Sing" is fun, creative, and full of action and imagination for kids ages 2-8. A wide variety of musical styles are introduced to kids, utilizing culturally diverse singers, musicians and children's voices. Amy's own painting of adorable animals, such as Razzmatazz monkey and Gigi Giraffe, appear on the cover and throughout the 28 page sing-a-long book. Parents and teachers are enthusiastic, saying thier kids love to sing and dance to each song over and over again! Songs such as "I Can't Find My Shoes" are funny to sing along with, and "Get Up and Dance" and "Hop to the Beat" keep you stomping and hopping as a lion, giraffe, or a frog!. "Shine, Shine Shine" has an excellent chorus to sing to, and can be used for school recitals. Each song comes with a karaoke track, making it perfect to use for the classroom, parties, performances, playgroups, or singing and dancing in your living room! It's cool enough for parents and older kids to join in. Your dog might even like "Doggie Dog Blues"!
