Album Notes

Singer/Songwriter and New Hampshire native Amy Palys emerged onto the Atlanta music circuit in 1999 when she was chosen as a finalist in the Lilith Fair Talent Search. As a student of music since age six, Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 2000 and co-wrote / co-produced her 2002 self-released debut album ‘playing field’; the right blend of indie-pop and fusion with hard hitting melodies and sophisticated ballads. In 2008 Amy returns with a new sound, new look, and new name as she discloses the next phase of her life as Amy Zuspan on her second album ‘The Same Way’.

REVIEWS:
"Palys' name is pronounced like "palace," and the New Hampshire-born singer/songwriter indeed possesses some royal pipes."
- Lee Smith, Creative Loafing

"Amy Palys...her album has something for every audience to enjoy."
- Catherine Goolsby, Insite Magazine

"Amy Palys is an up-and-coming musical talent on Atlanta's singer/songwriter scene. Here she collaborates with friends and hones her skills to churn out her first recording, playing field. This is the kind of music suitable for those looking for easy-going melodies and conversational lyrics. Palys is sweet and reminiscent of the typical girl next door as she sings breezy songs about love and love gone wrong. In songs like "In Between Other Loves," "Never Forget You," and "Test of Loyalty," layers of exotic percussion add a welcome complexity. The complete personification of longing and desire lies in the title track when an entire ensemble highlighted by strings is assembled. The flush of emotions is gentle and graceful."
- Monica Arrington, Southeast Performer
