Tea in the morning and wine at night
author: Sarah Arslanian
Love ir Inertia is Ms. Raasch's debut cd and I must say that I could not be more impressed. Her Lyrics awakened a part of me that have long been dormant. Like a strong tea in the morning it opened my eyes and refused to let me close them. Her songs carried me through a journey of innocence, vulnerability and then strength. Like a journey in to womanhood these songs force us to face such things and remember things past. Musically and vocally Ms. Raasch has an uncanny ability to trick you in to thinking you know where the song is going: quiet and tender or a joyous explosion! One is always happily surprised with the outcome. By the time evening comes it is time for a congratulatory glass of wine for a job well done, by both the listener and Ms. Raasch. Truly a wonderful listen!

Amy Raasch really pulls on a winner of a debut CD
author: Bob Carpenter
Actress/Model turned singer/songwriter Amy Raasch brings as much beauty to her latest career as she did her first. This time it is her songs and voice that pull you into Amy’s world. Once there, you don’t want to leave. These songs, all written by Raasch, are filled with clever and poignant lyrics.
Backed by great musicians and just enough production to showcase and complete these tunes, the album’s not overly complex in sound as some tend to do. The recording and mix are both excellent.
The standout song is “Missing” It starts off with a nice upbeat tone, then smacks you with some reality. Nice, expansive chorus. Selling lemonade and skipping stones – great mental pictures. Then “Why do they call you missing?” - Incredibly powerful
Another is “Neverland” – Simple, clear melody. Very hook-y chorus. “If you love me, I will carry you home” - great emotion.
Another of my favorite songs is the wide-open sound of “Endless Sky” Simple, slow expansion in4 into the chorus is 3 is very effective. Paints a beautiful mind picture.
All in all the whole album is very listenable, with nice contrasts in both tone and style. Amy Raasch really pulls on a winner of a debut CD.

Singing just to you...
author: NJA
Very intimate, meaningful album. Emotional depth on each track. No songs that I'll skip thru, but my favorites so far are Missing (as prev reviewer said, reflecting her work with GINA), Listen Once, Merry Go Reel, Endless Sky and Take Me Home.
Many lyrics that can have different meanings to those with different perspectives, which I love. Intelligent, beautiful songcrafting.
