And Then There Is This is a good introduction to new singer-songwriter Amy Regan. She has a great singing voice and the six songs feature her as a talented songwriter with songs in a variety of styles, including the bluesy Some Kind Of Blues, the R&B-ish title song, the jazzy, retro Nighttime Bird, and the uptempo, poppish Everybody Needs Somewhere To Go. One possible complaint is, it's too short!

I saw Amy live a couple times before this EP was even finished, but knew upon hearing her voice that once something WAS released, I'd have to have it. Upon finally purchasing "And Then There Is This", I wasn't disappointed. Her live performances were always amazing, but this CD takes her songs to a whole new level and I can honestly say that there isn't a single poor track on there. Production values are fantastic and Amy's voice comes out beautifully crisp in the mix. If people need some sort of loose comparison for Amy's music, some of Fiona Apple's more recent work comes to mind, but Amy truly has a sound all her own. Buy this CD, you won't regret it.

Amy has the most beautiful, angelic voice, and her songs strike a chord in your heart. I'm so proud of her and know she will keep going on to great things :) Go Amy! Love, Sinem xo
