Where were you the first time you heard a song from this album? Chances are your neighbors and pets will ask the same question. This is an album not to be missed. A rare and frightening look into the life of Amy Simpson. So real, so baring, so intense. Words of wisdom, words of sentiment, pain and jubilation. Destined to burn a hole in your CD Player from abuse and overuse.
At the recent Rockrgrl Conference 2000 in which Simpson was a showcase artist, Courtney Love said about Amy Simpson, "Your charisma is hurting me from across the room!" ...and about Circumstances Strange, "I loved your CD!"

I was also very impressed by the way Simpson was able to explore different tempos and grooves, so many folk type singer/songer writers I listen to all have one thing in common: all their songs sound alike. There's one thing about having a recognizeable sound, but its another to have repetitiveness to the point that everyone knows right away who's music it is with in the first few notes... Simpson is original from her CD cover design to her site (www.mster.com). Simpson's CD is the type of music that you unexpectedly bond with because of the rawness of the lyrics.
