Singer songwriter Amy Young , a native of West Michigan, grew up singing and playing piano for school, community and local church events. She went on to study voice and just a touch of guitar while at Western Michigan University. The desire to compose came to fruition in 1995 while singing with the group Out of the Desert and keyboardist Bryan Schultz. This writing led to a self-titled solo project which was followed shortly thereafter by a second project entitled Realization of Identity.
This long-awaited third CD release, Subtle Changes in View, features the talents of bassist Dave DeVos, drummer Alan Applegate, guitarist Peter Conniff, saxophonist Bob Hartig, cellist Ingrid Dykeman and vocalist Michele McGovern.
You can find Amy, along with bandmates Dave DeVos, Alan Applegate and Peter Conniff playing at local coffeehouses, festivals and bookstores. Amy also works as the Worship Director at Cornerstone Church and is blessed with an incredible family, Bruce, Brad and Leah.
