Paul & Andrea DeLesDernier of The AnAesthetics are on a mission from 'Blog' to find relief in this cluttered, often confusing, super-sized world. Using their minimalist mix of punk rock, comedy and improvisation they create an absurdist work of honest and inspired anthems that help us process our chaotic lives.

The humor on Cornography is found in reality, in the everyday obstacles we all share. Nothing and no one is safe as Paul & Andrea lampoon and deconstruct all the overstuffed, overused clichés and imposters that are thrown in our faces everyday as we encounter traffic, our jobs, and every form of media.

Often referred to as the "Nichols and May of rock" because of their keen improvisational skills, deft characterizations, and relaxed, intuitive timing - Andrea & Paul create six minutes of bad public radio on the comedy track Dr. Lowconern. They take on the personification of the self-appointed expert dishing out misguided advice to a desperate caller. The scene reflects an over general and inflammatory media that sends us all looking for our happy place.

The lyrics to their song It's All About Me shout a self-serving, tongue-in-cheek mantra for the self-obsessed. Because after a hard day a work, sometimes you just have to scream "It's All About Me"!

The song Whine Like A Rock Star personifies the character of the poser rock god who demands to be heard better in the monitors, brown M&Ms and tepid water, the message bubbles out of the witty self-assured lyrics. A message that reminds us we always have two choices when met with a situation greater than us: "you can kick it in the ass like punk rock trash or whine like a rock star".

The AnAesthetics have always reminded people not to take things too seriously and offered relief in the form of laughter. Cornography continues that theme and perfectly nails all the clichés each of us encounter day in and day out. What better way to deal with reality than with a good laugh.
