Album Notes

"For those who look for something new and innovative to listen to, AñaVañA is worth adding to your collection."----Kyle Neumann (Chaotic Culture Magazine)

If you put Scientist, No Doubt and Santana in the studio together, this is the music you would get.

AñaVañA has been considered NYC's best Rock/Reggae band since the release of their first full-length record in the summer of 2004.

R*U*B* is their first instrumental CD, and shows a more mellow side to AñaVañA's musicality.

This CD has 8 songs simply entitled Scene 1-8, and the running time comes in just under 50 minutes.

Rock, Reggae, Latin, Classical, and Pop are some of the musical styles found on this record.

"If there is one record that typifies "World Music" this is it."

So go ahead. Pop this CD in your player and light one up. Nobody's watching.

"AñaVañA has it all... musicianship and control in their songwriting... very refreshing... Rock, Reggae, Latin and a little Jazz... very unique" ---- Breakthrough Connections

"Experience a new world in their unique diverse music mixture"---- Cool NY

"An intriguing blend of Rock and Reggae"---- Dagwood Radio

REVIEWS

Musically brilliant!
author: RACHEL ROKICKI (The Deli Magazine)
Sophisticated and musically brilliant… a magnetic hybrid of music… a refreshing 2nd full length record… a distinct sound-from shy to outright strident.

This record is very trippy.
author: Amy Lotsberg
This record is very trippy. I've never taken acid, but I bet this music would go well with it. Not that I'm condoning drug use, mind you! It's mostly instrumental which is cool, but I remember really liking Anastasia Victory's voice on their previous release, the self-titled "AnaVana" so I kind of miss hearing it. There are some echoey vocals but they're quite faint. Still, a lovely sound. It's hard to pull out favorite tracks because they seem to sort of melt into one another, so I'll just say the whole thing is very pleasing chill out, headphone, or background music.
