Great tunes!
author: James Wilson
This DVD is a good introduction to this up and coming instrumental group out of Washington State. The CD is a very fine collection of instrumentals and the DVD takes you into the genesis of this group, connection with local dancers, and the impetus for creating thier fine blend of traditional/contemporay tunes. Particularly poignant is the tip of the hat and respect for the mother who clearly instilled in these musicians and dancers a wonderful appreciation for Irish folk music and dance. There is very nice interplay between the musicians here and to listen to thier takes on the music gives a little back story that helps to further appreciate their music. I look forward to catching them live.Buy it!
