Album Notes

"Many things have inspired me to write...things that I've experienced in the church, things that I've seen in my life...I just wanted to give the public a little bit of me...things that have been on my mind to share with them..." Andrâ Cross

Born June 24, 1980, Andrâ Cross may have never known how prominent the effect of music would be on his life. After he gave his life to the Lord in 1996, his direction became clear: Make the Message of Jesus Christ accessible and relative to all who would listen through song. "Many things have inspired me to write ", says Cross, "things that I've experienced in the church, things that I've seen in my life. I just wanted to give the public a little bit of me, things that have been on my mind to share with them."

In order to fulfill the purpose set before him, he teamed up with Bobby "Big Bo" Foreman and together they formed Habakkuk Productions and released Cross' first self-titled solo project with the lead single, "Jesus I Love You". The song, with its infectious hook and catchy vocal delivery, was first introduced to WXEZ 94.1, an FM gospel music station in Norfolk, Virginia where it stayed in heavy rotation for a period of 24 weeks. This garnered Cross many accolades in Norfolk and the surrounding areas. Through this exposure, Cross and Foreman teamed up with Ernest Armstrong, Executive Manager, Habakkuk Records to take Cross' career to the next level.

Cross' music combines 70's vintage soul and edgy R&B/Hip-Hop influences. His style and unique voice has captured the ears of fans along the East Coast. "Andrâ's up-tempo soulful sound and urban beats are contagious. With original lyrics and funky beats, this release is guaranteed to bring you to the next level of gospel music", says Laurice Jackson, CCM Magazine/U Magazine.

Make no mistake; Andrâ Cross is definitely an artist on the cutting edge of urban gospel.
