ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"A.L.G.O.R.I.T.H.M." is an algorithmic music album, first and only experiment by Ottavini of making music with random algorithms. The album is divided in three parts: the first one, "The Art Of Composing" which contains 4 interpretations of 4 famous piano classics. The second one, "The Algorithms", shows the algorithms applied to music, first with the disturbing musical poem "Dreaming" for small ensemble and soon after with the "8 Algorithmic Fantasies for piano", a collection of 8 algorithmic piano pieces in different styles. The last part, "The triumph of the Algorithms", which contains the title track, shows how the algorithms can even be applied to make a "Punk Rock score", played here by the cartoon-punk-rock band "Wild Life Zone".
