Russian Tourette
Highly acclaimed debutCD
by guitarist Andreas Lidberg
" The praise hails over Andreas and for once sake I definitely join the ranks. Completely.
I know simpy none here on homeground Scandinavia that even approaches his tasteful guitarplaying.
And I cannot come up with so many names in the genre even if I include international names.
If the introduction sounded undifferentiated, on the verge to admiration, then i have succeded.
What knocks me over? Everything.
The mix of an amazing technique, fantastic sound and beautiful, cool and personal harmonic changes.
And how he pulls the greatest influences from pop/rock/fusion but manage to land in something original.
So rare and precisly what you have longed for to hear. Of course you can point out elements of both Hendrix,
Robben Ford and Neal Schon. Or Eric Johnson, countryroots and fusioninspiration.
But listen for example on the flow in Getting There. Or follow they original passages in the title track.
And say then that we in Lidberg has not encountered something far beyond the ordinary?
..as a debut and pointer of what´s to come in the future this is a wallbreaker. Walk- No, Run- and buy.."

Some words from other artists:
"Andreas playing is some of the smoothest, tastiest stuff
I ever heard since Andy Timmons. Seriously, I'm
definitely a fan! Love all the songs I heard so far,
there's not a real favourite...just all of them!"
/ Marco Sfogli

"..I love Andreas stuff...
He´s an amazing player."

"Add this name to memory; Andreas Lidberg ... or ANDY Lidberg, as he generally will
be called worldwide eventually ... When I listen to "Getting There" and "The Kings HiHat"
it strikes me how appropriate it is to call the album "Russian Tourette" as it describes what it i´m listening to spot on ...
The production, the arrangements and instrumentation is totally surprising, it feels like a musical "Freudian slip of the tongue" all the time.. ..but at the same time it is so crystalclear and so smoothly performed ! Andreas playing, always in phase with the music, is totally fascinating in its imagination and its sweetly twisted rubato-thinking...a fantastic control of the instrument ... he seems quite at ease to switch between genres / techniques without ever revealing the joints ...
I just want to press it into the car stereo on "repeat"!

"Super tone and musicianship!!
Andreas reminds me of
Carl Verheyen sometimes, and
the compositions are so
refreshing to listen to !"

"If it wasnt for the simple fact that I got so many gigs booked at the moment, I would just sell all my gear..there´s no reason in keep twangin the guitar when there´s players like Andreas.....cant listen to his album for more than 2 times a day, it´s absolutely lethal for my selfconfidence!"
