Andreas Wistrand first caught the public eye in Sweden as a participant in a talent hunt broadcast on national Swedish television. in 2004. With his fine musicianship, his good looks and his willingness to communicate with the audience he became one of the favorites of the jury as well as of televoters that season, although he did not end up the overall winner. Since that time he has been working as a lead singer in one of the most popular Swedish "dance bands" - Highlights. A confident and charismatic performer on stage, he has frequently appeared on national Swedish television. Still, he did not score any major radio hits until now despite releasing two CD's with Highlights. With the release of the pop ballad "Over now" he is moving away a bit from the typical Swedish "dance band" sound into that familiar pop territory explored by many artists besides himself but still very well suited to the taste of radio listeners. With a hooky melody and fine vocals including a sensitive rendition of the lyrics about lost love, he might be on his way to becoming a recording artist of some recognition as well as a stage personality.
