This CD is an offering of gratitude to the \'Dharma\', the eternal wisdom of life.
As we live, learn, and grow, life keeps giving us these special magic moments
when everything feels \'right\' in some mystical way, when we feel like we are a welcome and loved part of this universe, whatever we are doing. These moments or phases in our lives reflect our alignment with the everlasting truth of \"Dharma\".
In our music, we try to not follow any preconceived concepts ideas. We let sounds arise out of the moment, weaving them into each other. Sometimes the weaving is more like a simple rug which doesn\'t need to find it\'s way into a CD shelf. But here and there these magic things come - energies that arise when we get out of the way and let the moment happen. Those we have captured on our CD, hoping to share with you the Dharma that unfolds through them.
Andres is a multi instrumentalist, singer, composer. Through his music, he makes audible his love to nature, and to non-confessional spirituality. Frequently, he experiments with sounds recorded directly in nature, which he then merges with expressive material from vocalists as well as various instruments (guitar, bandurria, mandolin, viola caipira, tiple, charango).
Andres was born in Santiago de Chile in 1957.
He is recognized as one of the most important musicians from Chile in the genre of world music, having performed internationally in many concert halls and during festivals, e.g. at the Latin American Festival in the Royal Albert Hall, London, England, or at the State of the World Forum in San Francisco, California, USA.
In Chile, he not only gave numerous concerts but he also musically mentored for many TV series. Among others, Andres over a period of seven years acted as composer and sound engineer in the award winning TV series \'Al Sur del Mundo\' (In the South of the World). For his musical contribution to educational and environmental programs he was awarded the prestigeous \'Chucao Price\' by the Chilean ministry of education.
In order to help musicians from Chile to make their work known, Andres together with Rodriga Cepeda (Subhira) founded the music label \'Mundovivo\' (www.mundovivo.cl), which now produces and sells music from Chile, North America, and Europe, among these productions some of Andres\' own CDs such as \"Caminos del Agua\", \'Nomad\', \'Waves of Silence\', \'Dharma Moments\'.
Since 2003, Andres lives in Germany from where he repeatedly goes on international concert tours, particularly to Canada, Chile, the USA, and European countries.
