ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A joint effort from Andres Roots Roundabout (Estonia) and El Trio (Latvia), "Solitaire" was written by Andres Roots and features Lorete Medne on vocals, Edgars Galzons on helicon, Raul Terep on drums & percussion, and Roots himself on guitars. Estonian slide guitarist Roots and Latvian bassist Galzons had previously collaborated on a few songs for the D11 Blues Band, when Roots provided him with lyrics. "Solitaire", however, is an altogether different affair, combining Asko-Romé Altsoo's contemporary production with Roots' interest in 1960's pop and New Orleans R'n'B, Medne's superior voice and both bands' love of Blues, Folk and Americana.
