Album Notes

Rise up and listen.

The third solo album from Gecko Club frontman and solo artist Andrew D. Huber benchmarks his songwriting and performance skills at an unprecedented level. Built around lyrical themes of reclamation, resilience, and restlessness, the album captures the sound of an artist fully hitting his stride.

The songs on "Days Amidst the Dust" acrobatically drift from coffehouse intimate to arena-ready folk-rock. Huber fulfills the promise that was unveiled on his previous two solo outings ("Ten Songs from the Side Room" and "Seagull"), offering well-crafted and keenly performed folk-rock that is drenched in spirit and sincerity. The 13 songs on the record are tightly focused on heartfelt lyrics and singable melodies. Proving himself to be an adept multi-instrumentalist, Huber effectively adds mandolin, bouzouki, and a host of other instruments to compliment his cornerstone voice and guitar.

Standout tracks include "Resurrection Mary", "Grand Marais", "Letter from St. Paul" and "Buffalo Plaid (Comic Book Hero)".
