“Unconditional” is the impressive debut release from solo finger-style guitarist Andrew Gorny. Gorny has crafted a stellar group of compositions, creating an alluring and interesting collection of instrumental music. The marriage of organic and non-organic elements is a big part of this piece of work as Andrew's crisp and clean style is subtly supported by ambience and mood driving elements.The frenzied and chaotic “Pretentious” is a stunning opener, showcasing Gorny’s virtuosity and mastery of the guitar. The title track “Unconditional” is a moving and tender ballad, with beautifully structured melodies. “Beatin’ Tha Gutz” is of a more funky nature, with Gorny weaving his lines over a definitive, smooth groove. “Double-Edged Sword” is another showcasing of Gorny’s dazzling technique, demonstrating amazing facility as well as musical depth.
