Album Notes

It’s the rolling mountains of New Hampshire where Andrew is most at home. But with guitar in hand, anywhere this 23 year-old travels is one more place to experience and perform.

Playing guitar since the early age of six, Merzi writes his own music with lyrics and composition inspired by life experiences. It was a fateful car trip with his dad and the radio blaring that introduced Andrew to some of his enduring musical influences: John Hiatt, Steve Earl, Van Morrison, Los Lobos, Bob Dylan, Ry Cooder, and the Marshall Tucker Band.

Merzi’s songs draw the listener in with the emotion of Andrew’s deep friendships, strong family, past loves and his profound sensitivity.

“Like most musicians that write, some songs have taken me years to complete as you tweak them this way or that… either lyrically or with the composition. Yet, other songs come pouring out in an hour.
-Andrew

His gravelly and emotional sound sets Andrew apart from today’s pop artists and when watching his performance style, it is clear that his music comes from deep within.

Merzi tours New England playing taverns and small venues as he continues to write and create new work.

Focused on performing and recording his first CD, Andrew travels and continues to study music.
