Album Notes

In this time nearly 150 years from the end of chattel slavery, the black man and his family have become almost entirely dependant (economically and otherwise) on a corporate system that was built on his free or near-free labor.

Corporate greed, corruption, and disregard for all life have forced many families to live in conditions that closely resemble the days of slaves and sharecroppers.

Although the wealthiest nation on the face of the earth now boasts of a booming economy and equality for all, families still struggle to survive paycheck to paycheck.

At the bottom of this socio-economic barrel is the blue collar worker - America's new slave.

WOW ! A MUST-HAVE !!!

I consider Andromeda's "Blue Collar Music" album A MASTERPIECE of rap music which is SUPERIOR in production and lyrics! It all merges to a marvellous piece of art, seldom found in todays Black Music! This is real Hip-Hop as it used to be, and EVEN MORE! The whole album has a unique style... though every track has a different approach, they all fit and add to the style of the album without breaking the frame. Not to mention the individual styles of Brainstorm and Polaris who complement each other perfectly as MCs. One thing is for sure, you can't compare this album with "mainstream rap" (that commercialized Hip-Pop you witness on MTV, BET and Radio), because this album also features LYRICAL CONTENT of importance, real matter and grave knowledge... it is revealing, it uplifts and enriches your mind. Major labels and mainstream better watch out, because Andromeda is here ! This 17-track album deserves 5 Stars!!! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!
