Andy was born and raised in Georgia but now makes his home in Colorado. He plays acoustic and electric guitars, banjo, Dobro, mandolin, and harmonica. He also owns a fiddle and sometimes attempts to play it. He has played in a number of Bluegrass bands, but is currently focusing on songwriting and solo fingerpicked acoustic guitar. His songs and musical interests span a wide range of "folk" genres to the fringes of country, blues, and pop.
