About the Composer
Andy McLeroy lives and works in Kentucky. He draws inspiration from his family, his wonder of God and nature, and his love of story. His work includes Nocturnes for solo piano, a collaborative effort with composer/pianist Rachel Grimes, and Music for the Night Sky, a work for chamber ensemble exploring the myth and mystery of various constellations.
His most recently completed project was Six Memories for Solo Cello, a series of brief pieces inspired by composer Tan Dun and the music of contemporary Chinese films. Six Memories for Solo Cello received its radio debut on WUOL (90.5 FM) in March of 2006. The studio recording will soon be available for purchase on CD Baby...watch for details.
