"...Andy holds the audience spellbound...
he brings so much joy to our children."
Marilyn Bonita
The Children's Corner
From songs "Sticky Icky Bubble Gum" to "Funky ABC's," Andy Morse is a children's musician who delights young audiences with a lively blend of sing-a-longs, dancing, play-acting and storytelling.
A percussive rhythmic guitarist, mandolin player and songwriter, Andy has a unique rapport with children (who call him "the music man"). He is known for the care he takes to create an environment in which children feel comfortable and encouraged to participate. With his down-to-earth personality and skillful pacing, Andy involves his audiences as he performs classic and original children's music.
Concert promoters, teachers and parents have high praise for Andy's performances, calling them "fresh, fun and friendly."
Andy has been performing in the Capital Region of NY since 1990. He founded his own music entertainment business in 1993 and produced his first CD and tape, "Fun and Silly Songs for Kids," in 1999. His long awaited second release, "Andy's Funky ABC's," was released in March 2003.
Andy has taught special needs children and mentally retarded adults, and for five years worked at Kidskeller day care center at Albany Medical Center, where he launched his career. Currently he performs in various venues and leads workshops on songs for use in the classroom. He also does voices and composes songs for a marionette company. Since Summer 2000, he has directed a children's tent at large outdoor festivals for Terrapin Presents. Andy keeps updated in the world of children's music by being an active member of the Children's Music Network.

Obviosuly, I have a certain "prejudice" in this situation. I'm Dad. Beyond that, I like good music, have been around it most of my life, and I know good "stuff" when I hear it.
This is "good stuff", a nifty variety of tempos and topics put to music.
I'm part of a daily morning "Music of Your Life" program here in Syracuse. We play all kinds of music, actually, and we are always happy to play a cut from either of Andy's CD's. And people call us, telling us they like it!
That works.

I bought Andy's CD for my grandchildren and they listen to it all the time..that's the best endorsement I can think of. A nice mix of familiar, traditional songs and Andy's own original songs. The music is engaging and fun.

What an amazing listening experience for my toddler!!!

I am a Clinical Psychologist who works exclusively with children, and this is the 2nd CD I have purchase from this artist (the first one is Fun and Silly Songs). His keen insight toward attention-grabbing songs designed explicitly for the young is truly amazing. I’ve used it in therapy sessions and the children truly relate to it. Moreover, my 18 month-old son Wyatt asks to have it put on and proceeds to physically enjoy it by dancing and making a rather entertaining attempt to sing along. The children's shows on PBS such as Sesame Street etc. would benefit tremendously by having Andy Morse as a musical consultant teaching and entertaining the children of the world the fun, joy, and importance of music in our daily lives. Thanks Andy from your number one fan...Wyatt Crowther, and from a somewhat older fan…ME. Robert Crowther
