Decoding The Hands : Joining the heart
Groove laden acoustic finger style guitar and wicked hand percussion, with occasional lyrical appointments.
This is deep smiling Music for ears and toes. Made to take the edge off the grind, a good day soundtrack!
I live on the shores of the Great Lake Superior, where this music must come from, storms and silence, always a rhythm, always a groove.
I prefer to think of the acoustic guitar more as a piano on my lap than being limited to six strings, a pick and five fingers.
Styles and influences are drawn from Louisiana swamps to cool Northern waters, African savanna to the deep terrain of the Heart. It’s a big universe out there, so inspiration is abundant, don’t you think?
The additional players on this recording are all highly respected, stand out players in their own right.
Jazz/Blues violinist, composer and author Randy Sabien. Ed Willett: renowned cellist, composer and bandleader.
Bruce Bowers: percussionist, violinist, composer, and audio engineer. Jeff Kriner: percussionist, educator and one of my electric band mates [Floydian Slip].
Enjoy and share this music!
