author: Lia Kinnet-Abts, Belgium
... is this amazing, inspired and radiating collection of symphonic mini-rock opera’s, called “Peacework”. Beautiful lyrics on beautiful fluent melodies, excitingly build up on piano and flamboyant keyboard arrangements driven by powerful drums. Written by Andy Rajeckas, a chiropractic specialist in real life what shines in each of his songs, each one an energized Tribute, a Jubilatum on its own. Different artists are vocalizing different sound colors. Remarkable performances by John McNulty with “Awakening”, Karen Workman with “Hands In The Sky”, Gwynne Michaels with a serene “Heal The World With Me”, Eugene Ruffolo with a jubilant energetic love song “Still And Always”. Grand chapeau to Mary ‘Shannon’ Wibbelt (whát a voice and voices) with an encouraging, goosebumpsing “Someone There”. Also grand chapeau to this impressive Aquarius-alike “Ascenza”. In this song the author reveals his life mission on the powerful beat of an exciting exotic rhythm, and has his strong inner voices voiced by Eugene Ruffolo and Margaret Fiellin. The Oscar goes definitely to the album’s most touching, sticking and impressive ‘personal’ song “Gratitude”, Rajeckas’ Ode to his mother and father. His emotional Bio, based on some precise precious memories of tenderness, climbs in a mix of melancholy and joie de vivre to an incomparable jubilatum of gratitude. This grandiose 7 minutes symphonic rock opera, also majestueusement performed by Maestro Ruffolo and ‘so many of his voices’ starts very Ruffoloïsh and crescendos little by little from forte to real fortissimo’s. It is spectacularly build up with a môôôst intriguing bridge and a surprising end. Goooosebumps!! Peacework’s soundtrack has been creatively and rightly visualized in its beautiful booklet by and on those pictures of fascinating galaxies. Bravo to Mr. Rajeckas and all Musicians! Thanks for the Music! love, lia
