ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Andy Shaw was majoring in music just 4 years ago at North Texas playing jazz trumpet. Feeling uninspired, he picked up the guitar and started singing for the first time in his life. Andy used the inspiration of his personal life mixed with some of his favorite styles to form a musical blend of jazz, reggae, rock, and roots. Adding a full band in 2005, Andy recorded "The Relay Sessions", feeling he had finally come into his own. "The amazing thing is the variety of people who seem to genuinely like my music", Shaw says. "I can't believe how well received it is". Coming out of the studio, Shaw and his band have been playing all over Columbus, and anywhere else they can seem to fit in. At the age of 25, Andy believes he can find his place in the music world with hard work, and dedication for his passion. "Music is part of who I am", Shaw says, "and I have never been able to see myself doing anything but this."
