The 4 songs on the BALLAD OF DAVE ROBICHEAUX ARE based on the characters in James Lee Burkes novels.

Dave Robicheaux was played by TOMMY LEE JONES in the recent movie INTO THE ELECTIC MIST which was released
locally last month.

The second song Lucas' Story is about a character in the CIMMARRON ROSE series by James Lee Burke.

Amazing Grace is also talked about in the book.

HBO is looking at doing a mini-series on these novels. There are negotiations for another Movie as I write this.

I am a friend of JLBURKE and have his blessing to write about these characters. He has won numerous awards including
the EDGAR AWARD for best AMERICAN (LIVING) writer twice, and has spoken at STEVEN KINGS Writers Conference among many other accomplishements.

Andy Smith Bio.

I have been playing music for 30 years professionally. I have traveled to EL SALVADOR twice to play at the US Embassy and tour the theatres and venues of that country playing my originals, blues and jazz.
I've also played International and National Conventions from LAS VEGAS to the US Virgin Islands for every company imaginable.
My band and I have shared the stage with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Wier, Aaron Neville, BB King, Starship, John Rich, Lonnie Mack, and Jerry Jeff Walker to name a few.

This is our 3rd CD and you can also find one of our songs on Hunter Hayes new release SONGS ABOUT NOTHING.
The name of the song is WHAT I WOULDN'T DO FOR YOU.

We have more songs to release very soon relating to more of the characters in the book.

All of the novels are set in Louisiana and Texas.
