Album Notes

The last true heavy metal rebels are those who revolt against the authorities alone through playing
their music. In case of the ANGBAND, these rebels live in the Iran and play an enchantingly mystical
power metal, which has received creative impulses from the one and another well-known band from
Florida in the past but has now approached a direction of its own with the second album. The vision of
each seeker should always be the development and the ANGBAND follows this aim with
determination but never loses track on the love and passion for nothing but raging powermetal.

In the field of playing this band shows just awesome technical skills, which are based on burning
emotions and guided by a deep spirituality. The oriental origin of the musicians shows within those
many moments of haunting mystics, which are always present in their songs but rather influence the
melody and atmosphere of the songs from an arcane position.

Despite all the delight in playing and their often quite twisted song structures, the ANGBAND managed
to compose very moving and memorable pieces, setting ablaze the soul of each dedicated fan of
technical, American style powermetal. For the right sound Achim Köhler was responsible this time.
And their development is not over yet, the peak of creativity and beauty they have reached by now is
just a momentary station on their way.
