ANGELA R. THOMPSON
Dr. Angela Thompson was born in Detroit, MI. She matriculated through the public school system, ultimately graduating from Michigan State University with a BS degree in Physiology. She went on to attend and graduate from Wayne State University School of Medicine and chose Family Medicine as her field of study. After graduating from Residency at WSU/DMC she felt the call of The Lord to move to Shallotte, a small town on the coast of North Carolina where she now lives and enjoys a successful medical practice.
In 1999, just prior to relocating, God began to give Angela "music from heaven". While she always had an interest in music and enjoyed singing, songwriting is something she had never considered. As the list of songs continued to grow, she began to inquire of The Lord what she should do with the songs. "These songs were encouraging and uplifting to me, so I was certain that God would want others to hear them." she says. In God's own time and in His way, she met an award winning singer/songwriter/producer (Timothy Greene) who fell in love with her music and with the Spirit of God that shone in her. Shortly thereafter, "Good Morning" was completed.
Good Morning is Angela's first venture in the music industry. She may be a newcomer but she brings with her an anointing from The Lord that lets you know she's no stranger to The Master. People, including professional musicians, often comment on the songwriting skills of this dynamic woman of God. Most are surprised by the complexity and variation of the music given that she has no previous background in this field ( besides a couple years of "Teaching Little Fingers To Play" piano lessons as a child!!). When asked about her writing ability she says "God writes the songs, I just put it on the paper".
Good Morning is a mixture of slow to mid-tempo songs that offer the listener an oppourtunity to really digest the lyrics of the songs. The overall style is what one might call Christian "Easy Listening". The music is packed with the powerful Word of God which will always do what it is sent to do! It is music with which you can unwind while remaining in a spirit of worship. On the other hand, it can usher you into the presence of The Most High. You will not be disappointed!!!
