Playing piano since age 5 and singing and writing songs for almost as long, Angelena now performs, teaches and composes from her home in Northern California.
"Jesus Free Zone" is a collection of materials from my early twenties when I was very disillusioned with the world. I was just discovering how hard it was to be an artist in a country that doesn't value art, underemployed in various sweatshops and offices that I hated, and I was on a journey of recovery from the harmful effects of being brought up Baptist towards a very pagan spiritual outlook. I was an angry person to say the least. A big part of how I got through things was sitting down at the piano and banging, screaming, crying, whispering out my problems, my truths. Somewhere in there, I found peace."
"The amazing thing is, I occasionally sit down and listen to the album and am taken aback at the quality of work I was producing then. I'm still proud of it."

I've had the pleasure of playing music with Angie, and being in the musical profession myself for over 30 years, I have say that Angie is as good as, if not better than the many musicians I've performed with. She is the complete package. Great musician, great personality, very attractive, and has a great voice, powerful when needed, and soft as well, with just a touch of attitude in her voice, which in my mind is always a turn on to those who love music. I would welcome her at anytime into my band. I recommend her to anybody who knows the music business.
