Description of 'Total Tranquility'

We recorded this during our anniversary trip to Abaco in April of 2006. I recorded at several beaches, but it was our first night there that we found the most peaceful ocean sounds. A few local seabirds deep in the background, ocean waves in stereo, and no wind to speak of.

The picture on the cover is from Abaco, Bahama near where we stayed, and is an example of the current pristine beauty of the place. Abaco is less developed island of the Bahamas, so you can still find times and places without the noises of civilization.

We hope that this brings you as much pleasure and relaxation as it has everyone else who has used it. Please don't use while driving. It is that relaxing!

Additional 'notes':

1) This CD comes in a shrink-wrapped slim-line case which contains only the CD itself (no front cover). CDBaby requires a display of a 'front cover' (shown in the upper left part of this webpage) even when you don't have one : ). Because of the decreased packaging, we can sell it for $10 (rather than our standard CD price of $15).

2) This CD just became available on CDBaby and is selling quite well. We appreciate your feedback, and thank you for your time.

3) I've found through extensive recording experience that it's best to first get the best nature sounds possible, and then at home add any instrumentals.

4) At the beginning of the CD, to help set the tone Belinda plays a smooth rainstick sound along with the ocean waves... Then I (Michael) gently bring in my Shaiko-hachi flute (a Japanese flute with incredible smoothness that I perform in a Native American style).

Bio:

We have extensive bio information on our website at AngelicStrings.com. We are primarily a husband-wife harp-viola duet for special events in and around Austin and central Texas. We very much enjoy being of service. Although this recording does not contain our primary instruments, it is gorgeous, and we are grateful to be able to provide it to you.
