My whole point in writing and singing these songs is that I want you, the listener, to be able to find a place where you can connect - "Yeah, I get that, I've felt that before..." I am personally very moved by music - it can grab my heart and transport me to a different place. I can remember as a girl singing along with my favorite female artists and feeling like there was someone on the other side of the songs who understood what I was going through.
All the songs on this CD come out of my own experiences, but I wanted to write them in such a way that they would be broad enough to take on a life of their own in your world.
Some of the things which have shaped me over the years and form the basis for my songs are:
- my 8 year marriage to my wonderful husband, Bob
- giving birth to and having the privilege of raising my
5 year old daughter, Sarah-Beth
- one year spent living in Turkey
- travelling in Europe and the Middle East
- my whole college experience, which includes, but is not limited to, a double-major in music and communication
- my relationship with God, which has been one of the longest-running things in my life and has evolved over they years. You'll hear in my songs that I believe God to be the author of healing and the source of hope in my life.
- working for 8 years in different ministries to high school and then college students. I loved having the time to develop relationships and share part of my life. I also did a lot of speaking in front of groups and I like to incorporate that into my live performances (can you tell already from the length of this bio that I like to talk??)
Well, there I am in a nutshell. I hope you'll take a few minutes to listen to the tracks and feel the joy ("Can't Get Enough" is my song for Sarah-Beth), feel loved ("Starting to Believe" is part of my own journey toward this), and have hope for the healing that can occur ("The Healing" is written about an actual event in my life, but has come to mean so much more to me). Thanks for taking the time to read about me!!!

Music that touches the heart

Outstanding music that encourages connection to oneself, others, and God. The honest expression in each song breathes life into a moment, a day, a situation, or a relationship.

Come Undone is a living room experience.
author: Kyle White
COME UNDONE is a living room experience. An invitation from Angie to come inside, settle down into the couch with a cup of coffee, and reflect. This warm and subtle acoustic-pop project is marked by solid musicianship, and breezy harmonies. Angie’s vocals are confident and rich, a blend somewhere between Tuck & Patti and Karin Bergquist, of Over the Rhine.
This disc is at times melancholy and reflective ("Come Undone" & "The Healing"), and at other times joyful and playful ("Can’t Get Enough" & "Wake Me Up"), but always scented with hope. Great production for a first recording. For an even more intimate experience, watch for Angie live in concert!

music from the heart, lyrics from the soul...
This CD has a variety of songs that can take me from a place of quiet reflection to animated expression. Consistent, yet diverse with the smoothness that always makes listening again and again enjoyable.
